The "Mine to Market Road" to Gold Hills opens for the summer around the 4th of July weekend  depending on the amount of accumulated snow on the roadway.  It is a one-way logging type road with pull outs to allow cars to pass one another.  Winter access is by chairlift, snow shoes, snow cat or snow mobile.
